Any plans coming up?
« on: June 16, 2006, 10:35:29 AM »
I'm out this weekend and most of the upcoming week on vacation, but plan on doing some smoking on the next weekend.  Doing a mix of foods I hope.
Just how many boards can I be on anyways.

I gunna try the 5hr butt cook. The guys at bbq news been discusing it on the forums, You prep the butts as usual but cook it @ 325 to 350 deg. till internal temp is 195 takes about 5 hrs & the same amount of fuel. They say you cant taste any difference other than a better bark (my favorite part)

I can see that I know some people who get the temp up to 325/350 to start for about an hours then back it down to around 225.  For me part of the fun is waiting on it.
