Open pit Easy to build

This is a very simple pit to hand build without any mortar if you have a concrete pad or something similar.  I used all firebricks because that is what I had on hand.  Figure your coals should be 18" below the cooking crate.  i will post more pictures when I can if anyone is interested.  The picture is one from Thanksgiving using a rotisserie instead of a grill.  I got a glare on the turkey but it was the only one I had.

Thank you.  It is very versatile.

I had move it to make room for my truck and tractor shed.  When I rebuild it, I can show the under vent structure.
