good book to have

I was going thru memphis a long time ago and picked up a book by John Willingham
I think its called Real BBQ or something like that.
If you really need the title I will check it at home and post
It has rubs, marinades, and a bunch of other things, even for you tinkerers it has drawings of a smoker.
I use a bunch of the rubs, and marinades when I smoke, and grill.

"Real Barbecue" is a book by Vince Staten and Greg Johnson. It's out of print.

John Willingham's book is titled "World Champion Bar-B-Q"

Both are excellent books!

This book is pretty good, his show on Maryland public television is also pretty cool.  It is at a posh resort in WVA.  You too could attend for 4k for the weekend and take his class.  The wife told me no.   He also does the BBQ bible which has a ton of recipes in it.
