Jack's Old South Competition Vinegar Sauce

2 cups cider vinegar
3 tablespoons ketchup
2 tablespoons paprika
2 tablespoons brown sugar
4 teaspoons kosher salt
1 tablespoon hot sauce
1 to 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
1 to 2 teaspoons ground black pepper

Combine in a nonreactive sauce pan. Mix until salt and sugar dissolve. Transfer to a clean jar and refrigerate. Will keep for several months.
